One thing to watch is the 10-Year Bond Rate.
When the 10-year Bond moves to 2.0%-2.5% we should see a 30-50% reduction in the Stock Market and that this could easily move inflation to 3-4%. Since the Central Banks (World) is at 0.0% interest rates that they can not move these rates up easily. They have pumped Trillions of cash into the system to prop it up in hope that the economies come back online.
With the amount of additional debt that has been piled on the World Economies, the Central Banks will not be able to raise rates interest rates easily since this would force them to pay the additional costs to borrow the money due to these higher rates of interest. Just think how much interest would accumulate on the Trillions they have added into the Global Economies. The Central Banks will enslave many of the 3rd World Economies (EM'S) by placing them in a position they may never be able to repay the massive debt they borrowed to stay afloat.
But, the Pandemic 3rd wave is going to cause issues with this as we peak in the next few weeks to a month (depending on how everything opens up as we move into spring). Also, if we see a destruction of a major power like Iran along with the Kurds; this will send shock waves through the global community.
Get your oil in your lamp.
1). Food. You need 2,000 calories per day per person in food. Supplement with multivitamins to fill gaps and holes in the diet. You do not need to buy high-end survival or MRE's. Canned food is cheaper, can be bought over time and you can buy meats, fruits, vegetables, etc. Even if you just put a few cans away every week, they add up over time.
Water and food are the 2 main priorities.
2). Water. You will need a minimum of 1 1/2-2 gallons of water per person a day. Plus additional water for washing clothes, hygiene use, cooking, etc.
3). Warm clothing. If the grid goes down for everyone, including warm (wool) type blankets, extra gloves, hats, and protective gear. Possible an old cast iron stove in stand-by or other methods of warmth that are not attached to the grid.
4). Hygiene and other items to maintain overall health.
5). Meds if possible for the long term. Some can not be stored easily or may have an attached prescription and not easily available.
6). Security-Hunting. Have a way to protect yourself and your family and forage for additional supplemental food sources.
7). Extra cash or metals (Gold-Silver) on hand. If the grid goes down so do the banks.
