Istanbul (AFP) – President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will mark Turkey's centenary Sunday by honouring the post-Ottoman republic's revered founder, while chipping away at the foundation of his secular state.
Erdogan wants to build his own legacy for the NEW OTTOMAN ERA.

Istanbul (AFP) – President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday inaugurated the first church built with government backing in overwhelmingly Muslim Turkey's 100-year history as a post-Ottoman state.
The "Hunter Moon" partial lunar eclipse coming on October 28-29. This is the same night as the 100 Year Ottoman Celebration in Turkey which occurs on Oct. 29, 2023. This eclipse will be visable over the middle east.
